7.   Finishing Quality

This session will be an interactive workshop where our experts will share their experiences and lessons learned in developing, implementing, and maintaining a successful finishing quality system. The panel will discuss how such items as substrate type, degree of contamination prior to finishing, and coating types; and how such processes as cleaning, rinsing, surface pretreatments, coating application, and drying and curing are related to finish quality and how they are addressed by their quality system. Important finish characteristics related to finish quality and how they are measured using standard test methods will also be addressed.
